ABS light on.....MoT
Hi all,
Just had my 75 MoT'd this morning and the result was a mixture really. Was expecting a lengthy list of reasons for a failure, so pleasantly surprised when he said both front drop links and ABS system fault. Drop links.....no surprise, I had been hearing them and I know the top strut bearings/mounts need doing as well. But the ABS. He said the cause for the warning light being on is probably hub sensors or pump. Sensors to the hub's will no doubt be expensive enough, on top of the charge (£45+vat) just to hook up diagnostic machine, but what am I looking at if it is a fault with the pump? Work I need to do, drop links, top mounts, rear exhaust box, windscreen reseal (plus clips/fixings), and this ABS problem. Uneconomical to repair? 2001 2.0ltr V6 model Last edited by IverRover; 5th September 2016 at 09:29.. Reason: Additional info |

I'd suggest you get in touch Phil-T4 to diagnose the ABS fault and sort it out for you. He's Milton Keynes based so can't be too far from you. Send him a PM or search for his posts to find his contact details. He'll be able to diagnose the fault without resorting to guesswork and at a fair rate.
