Thanks Greeners, well Jules ideally I would replace it with a ZT-T but as no-one seems to want to buy it at the moment I wont be needing to replace it at all, if it doesn't go this week I will tax it and MOT it and keep it, to be honest I have had many cars over the years, fast ones, big ones, new ones and old ones and this ranks in the top 3 as one of the best all round cars.
There seems to be a lot of people who think that if it is over 3k it's over priced but even at 5k these are a bargain imho I would ideally like some more boot space but the more I look around the more I think that I wont do any better for the money than what I have already |

If I was you mate I would set your start bid at 99p to attract buyers. You have a reserve so it doesn't matter. I think you are putting people off with a starting bid of £3995.
Lovely car by the way! Hope you get what you want for it.

Nice example but none standard wheels might put some people off. Mileage is on your side though
My 2004 is going up soon and I'm hoping for £3500... I might be dreaming though as all cars took a big drop last month in the CAP guide Last edited by e668ecp; 18th July 2010 at 20:20.. |

If you start at 99p it would take a hell of a lot of bids to reach the asking price, if it puts people off to start at £3995 then they won't want to pay the asking price surely?
Whatever people may think of the price it is what it is because that is what I think it is worth taking into account prices on Ebay, Autotrader etc for similar spec cars, at the end of the day there will always be bargains out there but if you want a really good car then you have to put your hand in your pocket unless you get really lucky, and generally in my experience cars are bargains for a reason, I paid good money for a good car and it wont be being given away. I appreciate that everyone has an opinion of what certain cars are worth, they have on every forum or owners club that I have ever been a member of and there have been many, the final decision must be one made by the seller and the buyer if they are both happy then the price is the right one, for the seller a good deal and for the buyer a bargain. Thanks for the comments and good luck to anyone who is buying or selling, may you get a good deal or a bargain |

your cars worth £4k all day long based on what others sell for not book prices, but then that's it- usual thing- something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. As per above posts- us owners have a bit of a dilema as there's not much the same or better available for how much our cars sell for.
in my experience, good genuine ones go for 2003 cars sell for £3000- £3500 2004- £3500- £4000 2005- £4000 etc... Last edited by Departed 32016; 19th July 2010 at 08:56.. |

If it's worth anything to you. I just (two weeks ago) advertised my Mg Zt 135bhp cdti 53 plate on pistonheads. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1843983.htm Advert went on to the site on Monday, had a ring that evening. Gentleman came to see her on Tuesday and went home with her on Wednesday. Priced up at £3999.95 got £3850.00 for her. Might be worth you advertising your car on there. P.s. It's free P.p.s. I now also own an Mg Zt-t, worth the change! Regards, Coolcat (Jeff). Last edited by coolcat; 19th July 2010 at 14:14.. |
