Default Door Speakers

Ive got the highline system in my Connie, and i would like replace the front and rear door speakers, can anyone advise on the best one's to get, obviously there is a depth issue (dont want to interfere with window operation)but i would like to get the best i can without chopping bits out of the door.
thanks for any advice

Are you willing and able to make mdf spacer rings? If so, you've got more options. I'd recommend Focal Access 165 A1 components. After researching speakers myself many reviews rate them highly in bang-for-buck terms. I'm putting a set up for sale soon as I'm upgrading.

Pretty much any 6.5" speaker will fit. MDF mounts are a good idea, but not essential.

Personally I like the Rainbow SLX 165's, but the Focal Access 165's are good as well.

Depends on how much you want to spend, really.

Default subwoofer?

Can i also ask, is it true that because of the wiring set up the hi line stereo cannot be connected up to a subwoofer?
thanks for your replies folks

It doesn't have pre-outs which means you'd need something like a LOC (line out converter) but you can wire a sub up pretty much any stereo with enough thought.
