N/S facelift headlamp needed

Following my recent deer prang repair, the headlamp I bought from EBay had broken innards and was repaired with epoxy. The repair has inevitably failed.

Today the dipped beam bulb has blown, I suspect due to the lamp innards bouncing around.

So if anyone has a spare o/s headlamp for a facelift model, cash awaits for a good, unbroken unit.

Which do you need, you've got both n/s and o/s down!

I have a o/s halogen projector if needed.

The n/s has a missing/ broken lug.

Could you make 1 from the 2 ie use your back and swap internals over.

Also which lug is broken if it’s the small square one underneath it really doesn’t do much.

They are really easy to split and separate you can use an oven or cardboard box with hair dryer. doesn't take long.

The light works, but whatever holds the dipped beam part steady has parted company so the part is free to swivel up and down within the light unit.

I have jammed it in place with a piece of foam wedged between the rear of the bulb and the round rubber cover.

The units are controlled by ball & socket brackets which often come apart giving the symptoms you describe. Very easy to pop them back together if you look from behind, under the rubber cap, you'll see them

Thanks Suzublu. I will need to investigate. Not sure if this can be done without removing the light unit?

If this is the problem, you may have saved me a new light unit!

What my friend told me about the epoxy repair - I think this was more an idea before he started. The reality is he wedged the piece of foam inside instead. I don't think the unit has seen any epoxy.

Yeah, just pop the light out, undo all the slam panel bolts, & the 2 under the wheel arch, then you can pull the bumper forward a little to get at the 2 bottom bolts holding the light & remove. 10min job
