Good on you for taking on rescue dogs. I looked at the local cat & dog home a few years ago when I felt it was time to fill the hole our 18yo Poodle had left. Everything was a staffie cross, not a dog that interests me, always preferred smaller dogs, if nothing else they tend to live longer, the one big dog we had when I was young, a Doberman, only lived to nine.

I seem to have acquired a septic finger! Haven't had that for years. Did my nails the other day and had a tag at the corner of a nail, pulled it out. Bad idea, finger end is now hot as hell, been dunking it hot, salt water.

Waiting for a delivery, have a Royal Mail tracking number. According to the tracking number it was posted at 10:33 yesterday . . . . and hasn't moved since, the tracking won't be updated until they attempt delivery, what's the point of having a tracking number that doesn't tell you anything.

I did warm a bottle up on a campfire at a bike rally once and made my pot noodle with it 👍

Where did you get that one from Andy, sounds like something from Heston Blumenthal's recipe book.

Like it! - he is a very large dog - cross between an Estrela Mountain dog and something like a Malamute - tho’ I suspect a bit of goat is in there somewhere

He was hit by a vehicle that busted up his rear right hand leg so that it had to be removed - sadly he also smashed his head on the ground such that his left eye had internal bleeding that was not picked up until it was too late.

Despite all this he is an absolute gentle giant.

Afternoon all, It's chilly dark and drizzling here although I haven't moved from the couch or done anything, I'm still suffering with my back from the greenhouse assembling from the last two days and cant bend down to put pants or socks on. not a pretty sight

I'm doing chicken pieces with potatoes & assorted root vegetables in a roasting tray with a lemon, herb, paprika seasoning mix, smells good if nowt else

SWMBO’s just said “oooo! That sounds nice” so I have my instructions to ‘get on with it’.

No water and only Newcastle brown or southern comfort, and I didn’t fancy warming the southern comfort up!!
