Morning, bright but decidedly cool here.

Just went to reorder some of my meds. Can't get onto the online system so dug out one of the pharmacist paper forms and spotted the two I need (the two I use most often) "see your GP to reorder". Brilliant, be on the phone trying to get through to the surgery first thing tomorrow morning . . . . PITA!

His military, naval and battle scenes are on display at the Imperial War Museum in London. Until a few days ago, he was chopping logs in the forest at his home. He lived life to the full.

RIP Ian
Sincere condolences Phil, you are having a real bad time of things just now, what with you both being ill, then the loss of Mike, and now this. Hopefully things will start to pick up for you from now on.

Thank you Julien, it's life and it's the price we pay for living it. Both Mike and Ian had led full and purposeful lives. I salute them Jessica is equally philosophical.

On another note, I am all packed and the taxi will be here to collect me in an hours time. The flight leaves at 11pm, 9 hours non-stop. Flying economy in the last row at the back, in one of a twin seat configuration, the aisle by the toilets. I used to like flying but these days, the seats seem narrower and smaller. I sometimes wonder how the ladies with extra padding around the rump ever manage to squeeze into them.

Looking forward to seeing the new limo
