Vis motor making strange
After switching the engine KV6 off this evening heard a strange noise whirring noise from the Vis motor which the only way to stop the noise was to disconnect the battery, put the battery leads on after a couple minutes and still making the noise.
Any advice would be grateful. Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,
Remove the connector from the offending VIS actuator so that you can drive the car. Purchase a replacement from club member Stocktake. Simon

Hi Simon

No, not really,
If it's the balance actuator which is faulty, then acceleration will seem rather lack lustre. If it's the power actuator, you won't notice much unless you floor the throttle. Simon

Before ordering perhaps an unnecessary new one, remove the balance motor and check that the shaft on the flap hasn’t broken.
The power motor has an internal stop but the only thing that prevents the balance motor from stopping is the flap. Regards |
