Received email from DVLA today confirming renewal of Direct Debit for the road tax and it has gone up yet again a massive £10.. works out to about an extra 80p per month

Probably go up next year too.

Do you pay more if you pay monthly. Or dose it work out same price 290

Think if it went past the 300 Mark I think it be time for an new car, It has me worried when the mention about diesel's and the future over them

My mother pays 20 pound road tax when I told her I pay 290 think I nearly give her an heart attack lol

If you pay by Direct Debit they charge a little extra, about £10-15,spread over the 12 months. As I posted mine has now gone up another £10 so i am now paying £330.75 for 12 months...ouch!...

Pretty sure they don't charge extra for a DD.

Someone has to make up for all the lost revenue from the £20, £10 £0 road tax band vehicles on the road.

I have mine going out monthly and although it's 5% more, I don't have to worry about it, it's always paid.

Don't forget the Severn Bridge and 2nd Severn crossing now are nationalised and have to be paid for by the government as there are now no tolls.
