Quick question.

Anyone know up to what year real wood was fitted to the dash trim?

Roughly 2001 iirc..

Thats a give away, you can tell by typeface on Airbag cover.
If wood i would grab it regardless.

What's the difference in the typeface? Does any one have a pic of a real wood typeface?

ISTR real wood is a transfer (smooth), plastic is stamped (raised)

Real wood dashboards were replaced with plastic ones when production moved from BMW/Cowley to Phoenix/Longbridge. But I was told that a few early Longbridge cars 'used up' remaining stocks of real wood, and real wood was still available to special order. (There's a photo of the transfer "airbag" in My Images),

I emailed the guy and he hasn't got the airbag cover, hence the cheap price. Thought it was too good to be true.
