I like cooking cakes, I hate eating cakes, I just like making them and making them look like a work of art. Does that count?
Everyone else eats them |

No - I do most of the cooking at home, I enjoy it, she hates cooking, so works well. I'm no masterchef, can follow and adapt a recipe but not create much from scratch. Would love to learn how to cook fish properly, gut, fillet, cook etc

Well, I do cook occasionally - usually spag bol or a curry.
Are we going to start a recipe section? |

I have always been the main cook in our household because of the shifts that I do, meaning I am home before my wife.
But a good cook...... sadly not Masterchefs of the world need not worry

I once did a very good fish spaghetti; I was going to have ‘boil in the bag’ cod with parsley sauce and mash potato but couldn’t find a packet of Smash, so routed round in the cupboard and found some spaghetti to give the meal some body, once done I mixed it all together in the saucepan, not the normal culinary delights’ my wife usually serves up but she was away at the time.
Strangely I’m never allowed in the kitchen when she is here! |

I'm no culinary genius so so making something up from scratch is probably out of the question but cook I can. Give me a recipe and I can probably follow it successfully.
