Doing my head in now...
Everytime I get out my other car..mk6 fiesta,I get a static electric shock, when I climb out n shut the door or open the boot,I get a shock..you can hear it n even see it happen n zap my finger.
Only does it on this car n it's starting to hurt now. It even happens through the steering wheel if I grab it while I'm climbing out the car....why?? |

Sometimes it's down to what we wear, what materials are in the car, or even how they are cleaned. Many used to use static dischargers, have a look here....

Maybe it's a Ford thing as my old X reg Focus used to zap me quite often too !
Not all the time though,it would do it for a few days then not again for ages, then out of the blue would zap me again |

What? you end up with a load of hair all over the place?
There's a delightful young basset hound pup lives around the corner from me, and when I fuss her, I seem to end up covered in stray hairs. This is the complete opposite to my hound, who's fur is more firmly attached it would seem Brian |
