Default Orange dials - how is it illuminated?

Hi all,
Just wondering how the dials are illuminated orange? Is the just orange coloured bulbs?
I like the cream colour of the dials during the day and would like them to stay cream at night too and just wondered if would be a simple case of changing the bulbs to clear. Would also change the clock, but leave all the digital stuff (radio and Climate orange).
Would it look naff?
Sorry if its been asked before but, couldn't find it, honest guv

It does not look naff Happy Shrimper. It's like that on the face lift model 75's and I think it looks great. I do like the old style orange as well.
I think this type of question as been asked before but regarding the blue dials in the ZT. I think it's quite a fiddeley job to do as it's lots of little bulbs that have to be soldered.
I'm sure an expert will be along soon.:xmas-smiley-013:

It's LED's. Not a straightforward job at all - it may have been done successfully but I've not heard of it.

I find it best with the dash lights turned right down low.

Oh well, looks good enough I s'pose. Just poking around on the 'other' forum, it seems sanding the orange layer off the back of the dials is in order too
My pug was just push fit blubs, so was hoping ...

They do look smart and when turned down are quite relaxed. Plus the colour matches all over the other instruments.

I think they are orange in all pre face lift 75's Zeb. He could fit the cream and beige dials from the face lift.

Mk 1 cars were tangoed, Mk 2 cars weren't
Simple.

But, it is clever how the sidelight / headlight switch illuminates all by itself when it gets dark, don't ya think?
