Would like to know how you open the bonnet please. Like the mesh grill, but you seem to have full covering on the grill. You could e.m or p.m me if you want to,keep it off the web.

Original Ad Photo's from when I bought it at the end of Oct 2010:
And now, 5 years on: Of course there have been a few transitory changes in-between which I won't bore you with here.

Two options David, first, as I do, pop the bonnet as normal, then slide your hand in between bonnet & slam panel & push the hook back from the bonnet catch, or, fit a ZT/facelift bonnet release.

This was BX03 on the dealer forecourt on the morning of collection - the monies had been handed over and I was just about to take a first drive as owner:
The drivers wiper sat too high and fouled the trim around the screen, the nearside sill was green and the offside a bit scabby, the badges were all ruined, the drivers seat bolster ripped, the off side headlamp was dead and needed polishing up..... The nearside B pillar was corroded, the towing eye was the wrong colour (still is, thanks to my inept brush paining with a 'mixed up' Halfords pot) and sun visors were both broken. But a bit of spit and polish to release the car I thought was underneath and and it looked like this last summer One day I might get some new plates made up, but most of the money I throw at it goes into keeping the servicing and mechanicals all good - I think it does look nice after a good fettle though!

Cut the handle shorter and use your fingers to push the bonnet hook back. That what I did with mine. Last edited by suzublu; 24th October 2015 at 17:25.. |

Frosty has gone through a few changes since his rescue, a full interior change, twice..... once to a set of PPD carpets and club SE seats, secondly to a set of full sports leather and he's the only Nonetemporyasseur SE in captivity.

Yes I was lucky as mine started life as a company car and was bought when BMW were selling Rover. As a result sales had dropped right off so they loaded them up with goodies, and the model we could get moved from Club to Connoisseur SE.
On top of that we were offered another £700 odd of dealer fit options. When they delivered it I couldn't believe the spec - by far the best company car I ever had! |
