Power Cut

I need to get out more. Woke up and still no power from yesterday. For some 30 years I have kept my camping gas stoves and lights. Coupled with a "50" odd year old camping kettle from when I was a child I still made the a cup of tea this morning.
I may well have been the only one in the village pleased we had no electricity.

Wow, sounds like you've got some serious camping skills! It's pretty impressive that you were able to make a cup of tea with your old camping gear. Sometimes it's nice to take a step back from modern conveniences and appreciate the simple things. Plus, it's a good reminder that we can still manage even when the power's out. Stay cozy by that camping stove, and hopefully, your power comes back soon! Maybe it's time to invest in a backup generator or even consider a smart thermostat like AUBE TH232-AF-230 for more control over your heating system when the power does return.

I keep thinking about a back up generator.
