Engine Hunting at Idle

Since I changed the oil in my 1.8, it has started hunting from 500 - 900rpm at idle, but only after a run out; round town its fine. Coolant temps are as before, no odd noises etc. The lights also dim and brighten at the same time. Any ideas?

Use the search facility for "Stepper Motor" or "IACV"

The fact that your lights dim is down to the engine speed and load on the alternator.

Basically a spin on the T4 then.... hmmm, I wonder if Wright's Mazda still have theirs??

Any ideas? __________________ Oh well, it's only money...... 2004 Conn SE 1.8 Work so far:- Gerry T, Rad Fan Resistor, Handbrake Compensator, Bonnet Catch Block, Leather Handbrake gaiter, Journey Camera, Sean's DD Unit with Freeview!, Towbar, Rear Sunblind, Smiley!, Headlamp Protectors, Alloy Intake, R75 Brolly, Puddle lights, reversing camera. 2004 Connie CDTi Tourer; replacement for the ZTT.
