Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how I would remove the backs of the seats on my earlier 75? Can it even be done? https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...1fa5aa7647.jpg

There is a HOW TO on the forum. but at the present the search facility is'nt working.
This is all I can retrieve. It's out there somwhere.

Front seat back panel removal

The wide flat bladed tool is used to minimises the risk of possible creasing or kinking of the panel.
Using a protective cover on the fulcrum points of the back of the seat, It will prevent marking the seat cover.

The side clips have to be pushed in from the outside.

The bottom clips of the seat have to be pushed out from the inside.

The clips at the top are static and detach when the seat panel is lifted away.

Below is a layout of the retaining clips that hold the panel against the back of the seat.

The pic below is an internal view of the selected tool against a side clip.

The pic below is an internal view of the selected tool against a clip at the bottom of seat.
Note there is a plastic lug at point X that I used as a fulcrum point, allowing easy leverage to put internal force on the clip.
Not much force is required, Leviathan hands may break the lug.

Step one,
Dislocate the lower side clip first, (this will ease access entry to the bottom panel clip with a srewdriver).
Push inwards while prising outwards

Step two,
Dislocate the bottom seat clip

Step three,
Dislocate the upper side clip.

Same procedure in the same order. For the other side of the seat panel.

lower side clip first as shown,
then bottom clip,
then upper side clip.

Pull seat panel outwards and towards the bottom of the seat to remove the panel.

Piece of cake.

Just to recap again………

To remove the backboard in such a way that you can put it back on again (i.e. you don't break the clips).

You need to start at the bottom, working from the side with a long screwdriver. It needs to end up in the position shown:

Move on now to the two clips at each side.

The piece is removed completely by pulling down so that it unclips at the top.

proceed with utmost caution. Read and reread the threads on how to do it. I have done it once on scrap seats. Did not like it.
