Had a 1.8T for 5 years. Lovely alternative to a V6.

A well sorted V6 is a delight to drive. Does not feel heavy when its just had 4 new tyres, rear shocks and VIS motors repaired. But then it is still 1.5 tons you are lugging about and the temptation is to push the power pedal!

The thing I begrudge the most is the whopping Road tax, find a Y reg if you can. Tyres are expensive too at around £100 per corner for a decent set.

If I wanted something economical I would have bought a Smart car, but that's not the point. I love my V6, even if I only get just over 20 mpg around town. It's a lovely car to drive.

If I really was concerned about fuel economy then I wouldn't own a double decker bus which does about 8 mpg... and has a 205 litre fuel tank to fill up.

Y Reg started March 1st 2001 and so did the new tax rates. A V6 will be £290 to £315 depending on emissions.
It was 1st March 2006 that it got really stupid. Over £500.

Default Expense.. am I bothered.

Did own BMW tourer 2002 which was on its last legs, the wife and I spent a few evenings perusing the internet looking for an alternative. Eventually wifey found the R75 and one look at the photos I fell in love with her.I did some research into the R75 2.0 Contemporary SE petrol and knew exactly what I was letting myself in for financially. But I didn't care.I don't smoke or drink, so I would rather invest my money in the R75.
Every inch a luxury car with all its got to offer I don't mind spending a few £££ on her.
Without fear of contradiction the best car ever.

If you want to avoid the expense of a clutch, get an automatic they are very reliable.
