New rover mg diagnostics kit
A Rover/MG specific diagnostic laptop based tool has recently been launched.
It is the result of a lot of work to enable it to provide much greater functionality than the generic type. It also works on the pre 2004 diesels which were not eobd compliant. There are some screen shots on our tuning-diesels.co.uk website though we do not as yet stock it. http://www.tuning-diesels.co.uk/revi...w-diagnostics/ The ability of those involved to develop this is impressive, particularly in view of the selling price. That looks really good. Had a look at the KickStarter page and it appears to have a number of backers already.
Looking forward to see how this develops. Is it anyone on this site that's behind it? Dave

Looks good, but nothing on the video showed a 75 diesel ecu.
Very interested, but more information needed me thinks.

As I will be at the Halfway House meet on Sunday I can probably get someone to video it there. If anyone has any questions please reply here and I will answer. |

Of course Phil-T4 has a lovely piece of kit, which does all of this and more, utilising a FTDI 232 RL and a rather nifty piece of software Does all that a T4 can do too Brian |

I've been following this thread with a lot of interest, hoping it's within my budget when it's released to us mere mortals

I too think what Philip has done is great. I am glad that he was able to get his funding sorted.
It does all come down to money and what it does. If at the end of the day it does what the 'buyer' wants, then brilliant, but if he his looking for more, then it's not going to be bought. I would love a 'simplified' T4, just one that will read all the data correctly, and tell me in english what it means. If you could also turn on/off the factory options (DRL, one touch up/down, etc) that would be brilliant. I don't want to be able to reprogramme things coz I would end up bricking my car knowing my luck. - Oh well, I can dream
