Several years ago at 3 am one night I had to pop into a hospital in Athens to get a Doc to sign a 'fitness to fly cert'. I was directed to the Doctors office in the operating suite. The docs were working through the night and I was flying out later on that day. I shall never forget seeing the surgeon pull out a bottle of JB from a cupboard and offer me a glass. That was kind of him. The poor chap had the shakes bad and I think he was needing a few drinks to help him. The other memorable moment was when 2 other surgeons also joined in with the drinking. Such is life eh.
