The early cars had black header tanks, these were changed to the buff colour during project drive. Some members paint their tanks black, purely aesthetic

The tank is the original beige below the seam and painted black on top !

This way a torch can still be used to check level without removing cap
The torch method saves wear & tear on header tank caps and seals

I painted the header tank on my ZTT the same. I painted the top section and ledt the lower section unpainted as can be seen in the photos below.

I used Photobucket to host all my photos but they have changed their policy on embedding in forums and no longer support that unless you subscribe.

I still have all the photos.

Thanks very much Paul there's a fair amount of time involved doing that!!
Hope you all had a successful and enjoyable NEC show !

What is the situation with photobucket?
Is it just a case of logging in and updating details as I was under the impression they were now charging for the service which has implication of 1000's of photos being potentially lost forever on this forum and any other for that matter?!

There is a successful work around that members can do to their own posts to make their images reappear.

Just edit your post and add ~original to the end of the Photobucket picture link in the post just after the bit at the end that says .jpg, then the picture will magically reappear
