Severn Trent Water (they supply the flood stricken towns of Gloucestershire) announce that they are on target for profits of £300,000,000

News - July 27th 2007

Severn Trent Water say bills will increase considerably to pay for clear up and future flood defences.

To be honest it didn't really sink in till earlier this week, bloke at work went down to see his caravan in Tewksbury, Total write off, but the old couple facing him who sold up everything to live on this site really were thinking they were going to die any second, to the point of getting into bed and waiting

For once his 4X4 was needed

No new running water for two weeks is disgusting in this day and age!
When we had floods many years ago and the Pumping station Failed.
Welsh water diverted water from another system so running water was back on within 24 hours to those not under water.
Is that because Welsh Water is a Not for Profit company unlike all the other Privatised water companies?

This is disgusting.............Corporations are allowed to run rampant with their disgusting and unfair behaviour and we suffer for it.

The Government should do something about this. If they can make that much profit, they dont need to bump up the bills. But then again, this is Britain............
