It can become a bit of a nuisance though when it may well be cold but dry as a bone and demisting is not needed. I think it's something you can have disabled on a T4 session, otherwise you just have to remember to switch it off if it isn't needed.

While on the subject of the ATC, if you hold Auto and Off together at the same time you can cancel the beeps that is made by the item.

imho its a **** feature,why do you need a heated rear screen at 10c, only to prematurely burn out the heating elements,and i dont think it can be dissabled via t4

Its still quite useful though, because if its been raining it seems to clear it. Personally I think it would be better if it came on at 5 degrees or less.

totally agree with you,my H R W is very weak and i put it down to probably being switched on from october through to march

A couple of things I learnt from here.

If you hold the open button on the key at the boot it will unlock, saving you pushing the boot unlock button near the drivers door (the dealer didn't know that I bought the car from)

With the rear armrest down you can open the top of the armrest like a lid and you will find another 2 cup holders moulded in the plastic along with a pen holder and a note pad holder (Freddie told me about that one)

I disabled mine too, I find beeps unnecessary also turned off on my Kenwood head unit.
