ABS info help
Can anyone advise if the 1.8 front abs sensor is the same as the 2.5v6 and which of the abs sensor wires is the correct one to check against the ground using a meter to measure 12v feed. I have the abs light on at the static test and no speedo so assume front o/s sensor us.Car is 1.8 but I have a V6 with a spare new sensor. Have tried to search for info but no success. Thanks.

Yes the abs sensors are the same across the range, can’t tell you which wire to check at the moment though!

I think I know a link with the colours but for the life of me I never remember what it is that is off side in the UK, what's so wrong with left & right?
Anyway here's a link with the colours detailing left & right: http://www.macfadyen998.plus.com Regards |

Plugged a new sensor into osf socket and switched on - abs light still on so failed static. Fitted sensor anyway. Thought there must be another fault as 12v feed ok. Not enough time to pull anything else apart as had to run an errand. Abs light on when I started and turned car found then a few yards down the road fault cleared! Now on my other 75 when I had nsf sensor failure I did the same and plugged in a new sensor and as soon as I switched on the abs fault cleared.I'm always learning with these cars and can only conclude the ecu's dont always react the same. Thanks again for help.

And sometimes the fault code has to be cleared with T4, strange things these cars!
