Many thanks to Mick (M11GKV) who recommended a bodyshop only a mile away from where I live. You can't beat personal recommendation

Called in this evening and got a firm quote whilst looking at some of their work which impressed me a lot.

VeeKay goes in next Thursday

Hi Paul,

Any chance of some pics to illustrate exactly where the rust is, and the results once the remedial work has been completed?

Cheers

Mike

the rust can be chemically treated to prevent it coming back before its repainted.

My car is currently in the body shop, having the rear bumper sprayed after someone left a deep scratch, having that done, front bumper redone. by by stone chips, and my spare bumper.

my dad has a focus c max as a motability car.
two years ago someone drove into him, causing minor damage which was repaired at the main delear under motability.

now two years later as the car is about to go back a clear line of rust bubbles can be seen in the area.

it will be intersting to see what happens if they try and withhold the good condition bonus on the ground that their own repairs are cr*p!

They would only pay for the cheapest repair they could get away with.
I wouldn't like to say too much, but a certain Mercedes dealership i know still practice this policy (cough cough)
