electric problems rover 75 club
Hello,
I recently bought a Rover 75 club and have a weird problem with the central door locking and electric mirrors. When I unlock the doors with the remote then only the doors on the passenger side (front and backdoor) are opening. The once on the drivers side (front and Backdoor) stay locked and can only be opened with the key directly. When I lock with the remote... ALL doors are locking without a problem. Concerning the mirrors... Both mirrors can only be adjusted to the right and the upside, not to the left or underside.. Has anyone an idea where this problem can be located? |

Welcome along. Sounds like you have two failed locking assemblies so they will need replacing to cure your locking problem, and for the mirrors all you probably need to do is clean the contacts on the switch panel. There is a 'How to' if you do a forum search.

You likely have two weak door actuators, i'm sure one of the traders on here will have replacements to suit and you will likely have to take the switch out of the drivers arm and strip it to clean the contacts. It's another common issue along with the door actuators and there is probably a 'how to' on here if you have a search

Hello Mike, thank you for your fast reply. I sure will have a look on the forum. The locking assembly ... is that easy to change ? and costly?

Door card off and then its just a question of unbolting the old and fitting the new. It is, however, a fiddly job needing little hands preferably

Also thank you Rogue, It seems that it was a good idea to join the club ;-)
I will sure contact one of the dealers after I've worked out how this website is working because i'm still struggling a bit with what to find where, but that will come ok also ;-) |

You are welcome. It a pretty friendly place with lots of expertise to hand to keep these old things on the road
Put a post up in the items wanted section if you need anything or wish to change spec and don't be afraid to ask if you are stuck with anything https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/f...splay.php?f=59
