cable running
Hi
I'm currently fitting a reversing camera. I was wondering which route is the best/easiest to run a cable from front to back? Is it thru the head lining or under the carpets thanks in advance |

On my saloon I sent the wiring under the carpet mate.

ta for that. Was thinking that overhead option may be easier than lifting carpets

no real need to lift the carpets as such. I have gone from centre console, past handbrake then out the back of the console. It is only now that a bit of carpet "lifting" is required. Unhook carpet from under rear seat cushion and from the sides by passenger doors. I used a bit of metal coat hanger to push wire along the "prop shaft" tunnel. I then ran the cable to the offside and into the rear.

good job
Just as a heads up on this. Decided to try the high route through the headlining took off the A&C pillar trims they just clip off, eased back the B pillar where it joins the headlining above the seat belt anchor. Then just threaded it through with my trusty threader (old fishing rod tip) took about 20 minutes.
