GUTTED!!!!!!
Just got out of car and realized there is two inches of water in the front and rear drivers foot wells. I have read this link front to back and am actually gutted that I don't have a sunroof. At least then I would know where to start looking....
The boot also has water in the spare wheel well...
I thought I had a car to drive, it appears its actually a sieve.....

Any ideas anyone, other than the scuttle pan..

Hi John.
Water in the boot spare wheel well could be from rear light gaskets side vents behind the bumper side coach rails, water in the front & rear foot wells could be from same or the plenums have you checked the plenums it was shame you missed the handbrake fitting at mine i would have most certainly picked this up for you then. Now you will need the carpet taking out and the leaks soured & sorting thats for sure, as above i would get the plenums checked out asap if you have not done so already Arctic

In stead of telling us how you feel (important as that might be to some), maybe tell us what you have done to prevent this.

Great How to again Artic

Went out to mine today as i had noticed my mats being a bit wet for no reason after rain, Passenger side didnt seem too bad, but drivers side.........

struggled to get my pipe spring through the pipe as it was solid with mud! Emptied out then realised i had bought 6mm connectors instead off 16mm

So ordered correct ones and will fit later in the week.

Hi Alan.
It as been reported that a few members have used garden hose with success if they could not find the 16m connectors as in the pics below it is the internal opening you are after 12mm for a tight fit Arctic

Thank you for this post, i'm a new owner with a wet drivers side carpet. Their was a tell tale splash on the bonnet release lever. I'm betting the sunroof drail is the culprit.

The ones in the boot of my saloon Arctic I need to check and no doubt will be clogged up. I tried to get the 16mm connectors at the local Halfords with no luck. The biggest ones they had were 13mm but will keep looking. I managed to secure a pot of Vaseline I also tried to get a 10mm plumbers spring and all I could find was a 6' long flexy clearing pipe 5mm, but have held back on buying until I have some advice on this:

Another member suggested I could use a wired coat hanger to clear the tubes out instead of the 10mm spring. And that I could use grab tape instead of the connectors to close the joins. What do you think, would either work and do the job? Your thoughts please

Hi Phil.
Halfords should have them you just need to buy the box with all different sizes in £9.99 as they stopped selling them in packs of two who knows, or you can use the old garden hose pipe.

The plumber spring can be obtained at any B&Q, Wikes, or Toolstation £2.25 -£4.50 depending on where you get it from.

there are also these on the bay

Hope this as helped Arctic.
