Default quick simple question glow plugs

Feel daft asking this but I just brought some new glow plugs .Took the engine cover of expected to see them by the injectors, cant see them .Any pictures or could anyone please tell where they are located. Thanks.

According to the workshop manual, you have to take off the inlet manifold to get at them. I'm a V6 man so can't say whether this is true or not.

Ive just changed all 4 glow plugs each one was black and sooty,tested them and all 4 had gone.Hopefully this should solve my slow starting.Had to take the inlet manifold off to get to them,was unable to put new seals on wasnt able to get any ,was told they was on backorder.Started it up and drove no air leaks.

I thought we only had 3 glow plugs, the 4th being a sensor

You haven't chucked away a sensor ?

hi Dragrad,there was definatly 4 glow plugs.I think because they are under the manifold they get neglected.

Four in the manual.

Think it's L series that only has 3?

Must have been thinking about the L series which was in my previous car

Guess I'll have to look at them sometime.... still working OK on mine at the moment.
