Maf Question
Just bought various bits to carry out a service, and due to poor fuel economy I am looking to replace PCV filter as well as the MAF as I believe this can cause low MPG. The current maf is a pierburg and has been in service for about 25000 miles it is also connected to a ron box. Do these have a use by date? thanks.

No use by date as such.
I take it the Ron box is one with a Mafam section in it? Easiest check is to disconnect MAF and see any difference in Performance and economy. If a MAF gets wet at all through water being drawn through front then it can fail. Pierburg MAFs normally last a lot longer than Bosch ones but no set mileage for them. Bosch 22K upward Pierburg 40K upward normally. But time frame can also alter this somewhat. |
