Well met and a very good lunch, much obliged. The local pubs all knew you were coming and shut the kitchens deliberately.
Went for a 4 mile walk along the river after you left. Saw my first Kingfisher in the flesh or should that be feather.

Next time shut your own bonnet.

My own fault really........'Is this the Egr valve?' He asked waggling the fuel filter.....and I let him do technical stuff like shutting the bonnet

Excellent weather for walking and watching the wildlife....a Kingfisher though, that is a special treat

Oil burners are not my forté, We won't mention how fast you had to be travelling to notice the bonnet was only secured on the nearside, or that I asked if it was shut properly as it didn't sound right when closing and lastly. Why didn't the open bonnet light come on like proper cars?

Your turn.

It weren't the speed ossifer it were the bumps...

Two key words there...'asked' and 'sound'.....bein' 'ard of 'earing loike, I reckon I missed both!

Ah, now, the bonnet light did not come on becase it was, and remained 'shut' enough for the most intelligent ecuthingummy to know it wouldn't fully open, even at terminal (for pheasants) velocity....

Last time the bonnet open warning light came on (after checking the oil) was at around 100 mph ...

But one of the two latches was still firmly closed. (So no one was hurt during this strange experiment. )
