That's very good news Stephen, it will be good to see you get a chance to give the Rover a run, see you there.

Great turnout for this meet with several members travelling quite considerable distances to support it. I apologize to those that I had hardly time to chat to due to various "turns" in the day.
The venue proved very popular today and so at times tested the patience of those in the queue. Perhaps we need to adjust the timing of meets at the venue.
Safe travelling for those still journeying home.

Thanks Fred,

Another very enjoyable meet, so nice to see everyone and have a chat. Drive home traffic terrible of course with all the roadworks, took nearly 2 hrs.

Thanks very much for breakfast Fred, on me next time!

cheers,

Jennifer

No problem Jennifer, sad that your journey home was such a struggle; are you sure your satnav didn't send you the wrong way round the M25?

Thank you Fred for today and what a pleasure it was for Jessica and myself to catch up with everyone and to admire their beautiful cars. Apologies for not getting to speak to Ken.

Whilst unloading the car in Bristol, Jessica twisted her ankle and in doing so, she fell heavily onto her left hip hitting the tarmac. She was unable to stand and was in a lot of pain, so I took her to A&E, X-rayed and the neck of the femur was completely fractured, she was transferred to the major injury unit at Southmead. Tomorrow she will have a total hip replacement. The plan is to get her mobile on day one, but will be in hospital for 7-10 days. It’s a shock, but accidents do happen.

Wow, that's terrible news Phil, please pass our wishes to Jessica for a speedy return to good health. It was great to chat to her earlier, yet I do apologize go yourselves and others for my lack of communication.
Thank you for sharing your pictures.

I am sorry that you felt unable to attend, though that weather forecast was a threat, and it is a long way. We may have a meet in August. Take care, Fred (planenut)
