Removed most of the front of the car to get at (and remove) duff radiator and very rusty steel pipes that take water over to the oil cooler. Amazingly considering how bad they are on the outside, they were quite OK looking on the inside - must be the anti-corrosive effect of OAT I guess.

I'd feel happier if the rad had an obvious hole, but hey ho.

I fitted a "real" walnut dash. See the noticeable difference between the real and plastic.

All fitted:

Checked all fluids & Plenums all was good.
Also checked auto oil level & all was good.
I've checked all brake & suspension parts & all was good.
Ho and changed the o/s/f head light bulb.

So all in all not a bad afternoon

I looked at mine out of the window and thought "It's too cold to take you out today old girl!"

Your real wood one there looks pretty dark without much 'burl' to it - or maybe it's just my eyes playing their usual tricks...??? Or maybe I've just realised that in the photo of the 2 AIRBAG signs next to each other that part is quite dark....
But anyway, a vast improvement!!!

Here's mine, but then again I suppose they actually should all be slightly different.

My grain/markings seem a lot less than yours. I'm picking another one up next week so I'll fit that if I like its markings better.

Steering wheel next . . .

I replaced a slightly leaking head gasket last weekend and took the opportunity to tidy a few bits up while I was at it, finished off this morning with a full chrome grille from the local scrappy.
