Afternoon all, boy has it gone warm this afternoon, it's still dark & threatening rain though.

I bought a two sided whetstone off ebay last week & I've been trying it out sharpening knives in the garage this aft, forgot all about the F1 quali

My chef knives are sharp as heck now

Salmon fillet with a baked spud, corn on the bob, buttered garlic sprouts and roast parsnips for tea tonight.

I have a couple of knives, one large, one small that I keep razor sharp, so much so that my other half doesn't like using them. I have a whetstone if they get really dull (very rarely!) and a sharpening steel to maintain the edge.

I've had the stone for years, the wear from sharpening many knives will give you an idea.

Sweeney todd had one just like that Steve

I had one of those sharpeners with the suction cup on the bottom where you draw the knife towards you it to sharpen it, never had a good sharp edge on the knife & it was marking the side of the blade.
