Default 1999 BMW 328i SE Touring **SOLD**

Hi All...

Well, with the purchase of the new ZT-T and with it hopefully being ready to go on Friday, it will leave me with this BMW that I have used as a stop gap for the last couple of months...

It's a pretty clean car apart from some rust around the rear wheel arch's (Common E46 Thing)

Its covered just under 133,000 miles and is a nice drive... It has A/C, electric windows, traction control and full black leather interior that's heated, fully electric and has memory...

Now as far as history goes there is very little I'm afraid... The previous owner gave the usual excuse of losing it, but assured me that the car was always taken care of. I am tempted to believe it as it seems a taken care of vehicle and the MOT history backs up some of the work he said had been done... New brake pipes and new rear springs to mention a couple...

The fact he even lost the current MOT certificate could indicate a element of truth to the tale

Comes with 6 months Tax and 10 months MOT

I have also carried out some work to it, as you can see by the receipt in the pics... A Oil service, replacement oil level sensor and a new rocker cover gasket...

It does have one issue remaining, and that being that when its stone cold and left to idle the revs drop occasionally... This also throws some codes and the engine management light will sometimes come on, but then disappear again after a while. Once run for 5 mins or less then the problem disappears and the car runs like a dream.

I have looked up what it could be and I am told that its either a vacuum leak or a dirty Idle Control Valve... I had the later removed and cleaned at the service and it has not solved it, so can only assume its a vacuum leak.. So it will be a case of checking all the vacuum pipes...

I have been driving it as is and to be honest its never caused me an issue, so I have decided to sell it as is....

Alloys could do with a refurb, but are wearing 2 almost new Pirellis on the rear and a couple of budgets on the front with a fair amount of tread remaining...

Apart from the above its a lovely drive and quick when needed. Since picking it up I have averaged around 26-27 MPG...

See some pics below and feel free to PM me if you are interested... I will add some more pics once I have cleaned her up a little...

Asking £1249.99 ono, will need to go after Friday so feel free to try an offer. Worst that will happen is I say no

Thanks

Pete

Good luck with the sale. If you go on the Bimmer forums there will be plenty of info on how to fix the idle issue. I had a 318 that did the same and it was an air leak on one of the rubber pipes to the throttle housing. Looks lovely!
