The rain has stopped & the sun has made an appearance, Boy is it humid 'orrible.
Your brothers band is sounding good Jeff Just made a roast chicken dinner for tea tonight Quote:
I watched a YT vid of a vast marshaling yard being built in the 1950s (I think) around the Carlisle area with a gravity hill to send the wagons down to individual sidings to make up a train. I got lost in the huge Speke sidings on a game last night You get a plan of where your train of wagons are to couple up to but there are scores of sidings with lots of points to change, I apparently don't know my right from my left & kept having to back up past the points I'd set wrong to reset them I did it once too often & put the rear end of the tender through a red aspect light Game over after 30 minutes of trying

Hump shunting that's the word, The guy in the tower retarding the auto brakes can judge it perfectly as to how much to slow a wagon down to just reach it's destination. Crewe to Blackpool this afternoon driving a Jubilee, turn table jobby to turn the train around & back onto the carriages in the station.

Thank you for the birthday wishes, much appreciated. A great photo Jeff of one of my all time dream cars, not sure about the colour as I more British Racing Green No bunting here, as the royalist family are all away and 3 of my best friends in the club are anti-royalists - full of hate for the royals but hey ho! Each to their own, it’s a funny old world Roll on summer Everyone, what are your plans for the weekend? ps. Jeff The HBA1C blood test result for pre-diabetes and diabetes was normal, I do not have diabetes. It was EMPAGLIFLOZIN tablet which had stripped out the glucose causing the hypo and not diabetes. It shows how well these medications work and how important getting the BG stable is Last edited by Gate Keeper; 4th June 2022 at 04:44.. Reason: p.s added |

Morning. Ging is dayshift again so up at 5, didn't bother going back to bed, can't get back into a meaningful sleep.

Not doing anything Phil. Ging is dayshift today then nightshift tomorrow. Bit of gardening is on the cards. |

Morning all, Looks like a sunny day on the cards here according to the forecast, Not much sign of it yet though.
Morning Phil, I'm not doing much this weekend apart from some gardening, Lots of houses around here with flags & bunting up so looks like lots of garden parties if the weather holds.

Morning everyone.
Ok, own up. Who has nicked our sunshine? It’s raining this morning. Back into town this morning as the shop was shut yesterday.

We are staying in a village called Banchory for an early birthday celebrations really warm here with not a cloud in the sky, could be in the upper twenties at the moment.
