Default Rear rattle

I seem to have a slight dull rattle from the rear when going over bumps.
It may be something in the boot but not had chance to empty it.
Car is going in for undersealing in wax oil later this week so will ask him to check it out but wondering where to point him.
Can't get under the car myself at the moment as recovering from surgery hence not doing underseal myself

Is it a rattle or a thump? If the latter and it appears to be coming from just behind the driver's seat then it's your exhaust knocking on the cross member. Either lower the cross member with the help of some washers or raise the exhaust with some shorter rear hangers.

It sounds like its coming from the rear of the car but don't seem to be able to feel it in suspension

I had a right rattle racket from the high level brake light surround. It had worked it's way slightly loose and drive me nuts with its vibrations. Thankfully easily rectified but it took a rear seat passenger to prod and listen to find the source.

That is also loose but the rattle sounds lower down
How did you fix brake light? Mine will only tighten on one side, tried trim tape to no avail on the other side

My high level brake light started to come loose so I glued it into place. Been OK for a long while now.--

That boot rattle. You need, mind your back, in the first place to empty the boot. If that doesn't do it then it's in the hands of your mechanic.---

Is it best to glue the brake light to the window?
Its at my mates bodyshop now for underseal so see what he finds tomorrow.
Normally I'd sort it myself but got dressings on from a fairly big operation so dare not get dirt near them

I tried all sorts of sticky pads etc to try and keep mine in place but it would always drop off with a hot summers day so finally gave in and used black silicon sealant and been perfect ever since.

There are several ball joints in the rear suspension that wear and then rattle. You won't feel it through your backside or feet, and they may not even make your car wandery. Rear top arm- to-hub ball joint (often misleadingly described as a bush when it is actually a ball joint within a bush), and of course, anti-rollbar drop links. You are insulated from these metal-to metal rattles by large rubber sub-frame mounts and many rubber bushed suspension joints.
