North East welders?
Does anyone have any recommendations for welders in the North East - preferably south of the Tyne area?
Would you believe my rear sills have gone I know all about Tom Hobbs but by all accounts he's booked up for the next six months and I would like to get the car MOTed & back on the road before the winter sets in as it's been off the road 6 months already. I can (or more likely could) weld myself and still have a MIG in the garage but I haven't done any welding in at least 15 years so don't have any great faith in my ability to do a decent job. I'm not completely against having a go but if there's someone can do a decent job for a reasonable price it seems like the more promising option Any thoughts welcome! |

You are a step ahead of where i was. I cant weld, or i can a bit but only have a 40 year old arc welder.
My advice in your case would be do it yourself to get through the mot, and get booked in with Tom in 6 months time. |

Maybe I'll give it a go. I will at least have a go on some scrap metal & see if I've still got it!
