Sorry to hear of your diagnosis Dawn. An enforced break where you will have to do what the Doctor orders, and an opportunity to plan your next assault on life and the car - Best Wishes.

Try not to think the worst Dawn. The NHS and health professionals in this country are amazing, and you will be amazingly strong too. Think positive if you can. You have lots of support here on the forum so don't be afraid to seek it out. I'll be saying a prey for you and keeping my fingers crossed for you.

They don't know yet for sure what it is - I have to have an MRI scan and see the surgeon again, but best case, I will need a big operation to remove it, and that means a lot of time off work. I am trying not to think of worst case yet, but I got the impression that was a real possibility.

So, this means the search for a ZT is off, and I probably will not be able to continue with my work on the Connie - at least for awhile. It has left me saddened, and if I am honest, terrified.

I just needed you to know I haven't suddenly stopped work on the car without reason.

It can feel very lonely & frightening getting this sort of news, but hopefully you can take some encouragement from how the effectiveness of treatment programmes has been constantly improving in recent years . Please don't be reluctant to avail of the support you can get, whether from your friends on here or elsewhere.

Hi Dawn,
We`ve never met but I have read most of your posts since you joined the "club" you seem to be a determined lady and I am sure you will see this as a challenge to be met head on and be beaten quickly so you can get on with sorting your connie out and eventually getting that ZT that you deserve (so much more fun than a 75).
Wishing you a speedy recovery a and also if I can help in any way at all just say.

Thank you everyone. I think the scariest part of it all is the size of the thing. I took in the news of a "mass" and thought okay, that can be dealt with, but then when he said the words "rugby ball" I don't think I heard much of what he said after. I just want the scan appointment to come quickly so I at least hopefully know what I am dealing with before Christmas.

Thanks again

Dawn
