New master cylinder fitted (Tazu MK1), all the clutch fluid replaced (i.e. 'till it came out as clear as it went in) - no difference!

Assuming the clutch itself isn't faulty the only thing I can think it could be is the DMF?

I think this issue has finally been fixed.

Andy came down today to change the DMF.

It passed "the test" both today and last year when it was off, but removing it showed some hot spots that implied it'd only been actually touching two parts of the DMF.

It also had some rocking side-to-side play.

All in - it was dead. Andy said he's done 600 clutches and this is the only the 2nd DMF he's had to replace - any my car already had a new DMF (fitted elsewhere) 68k miles ago! So they do go, it's just rare.

Andy replaced it, alongside the clutch, pressure plate, slave and gearbox oil (you can tell he didn't want to do it a third time!).

I took it for a drive and the first time I put my foot down the engine cut out with "CHARGE FAULT" (??? the voltage was fine! No idea...) but after that it was all good.

I've now done around 50 miles and I've not had any problems... obviously I'll need to do a lot more miles before I'm 100%.

For anyone who's got the same problem - a new DMF is £300 and requires the clutch to come out (the hard bit) + then a little more work to change it. I don't think you'll find someone better to do it than Andy.
