Electric Mirrors inoprrative
Hi, I've not long had the car and the mirrors have never moved.
The buttons will show a light for which side has been chosen but nothing else. I have stripped and cleaned the control box and checked fuses (although I may have missed one) Any other ideas? |

If the mirrors haven't been moved for some time, it can take up to a minute for them to start moving. This was the case with a 75 of mine, both worked after a minute or so. May well be the case with your car too. It might explain fuses etc being OK. It may take a couple of attempts, if it doesn't work first time, rest the button for a couple of minutes, and so on. Give it a try !

Switch pack contacts are dirty, you need to remove the switches from the door, separate, then clean the contacts with a contact cleaner. There's a How To for it

Here you go:-
https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ead.php?t=4821 Sometimes, just pushing on the mirror edges as you operate the switch will help it to move ie press right switch, press right mirror edge and so on. Tools I used to disassemble and clean switch:-

When I first got my 75, and the previous one come to think of it, the mirrors didn't work. I assume the cars had one driver so never needed to adjust them. Anyway, simple perseverance with moving the mirror in diffent directions using the buttons freed them off on both occasions. Never had any trouble since. Regular use of the motors will stop them getting stuck.

Narrowed it down to the switch pack. Stripped down a second time, cleaned again and reassembled. We now ha movement down and to the left on both mirrors, which is better than nothing. I'll keep persevering with it
