Default What's this thing.....????

Soooo....this may be familiar to all of you and something I've just missed in my reading around the car but should there be a squidgy plastic bladder / bag full of some sort of gas or fluid, behind the o/s wing, between the A pillar and the front wheel arch? It's nearer to the arch than the A pillar and the bottom of the 'bag' was almost down at sill level.

I found it whilst replacing the mudflaps last night, because I cleaned out the void behind them whilst I was at it. I found this thing and went whhaaaaa? Alien?

Is it one of the blocked off plenum drains? Should I lance it ?

Oh and p.s. great chat at traffic lights this am with owner of Pristine copperleaf 1.8...introduced him to the club

p.p.s I had written a word beginning with 'p' to describe putting a pin in a bag of fluid to drain it and the forum went 'NAUGHTY WORD' on me!!!
