Well The trackrod ends have arrived. All I hope is that I have done the right thing in purchasing these SKF track rod ends. Why? Because they are made in Turkey for SKF. Please don’t let them be like the Chinese chocolate items we seem to be getting now.

Spent a pleasant couple of hours (yes I am being sarcastic) stripping out the rear of the ZT T to get at the leak that has soaked the HK amp causing it to malfunction. Amazed it worked at all given the amount of water in it! All dried out and working again now, leak sealed and preventative sealing of anywhere that could leak in future car stinks of silicone but at least it’s dry!

Yesterday I managed to Waxoyle the offside rear upper arm ready for the new spring to be fitted when it is warmer. Today I changed the innards out of the two battered key fobs and put them into the new cases. Both work ok.

I now have heated rear seats
I took my rear seat squab to bits in order to fit heated seat panels - as it was cold outside, I sneaked into the lounge to do it and was therefore warm (and able to watch Columbo).
Connected the seats to the wiring I put in a couple of weeks ago and now my passengers can travel in warm-bottomed comfort |

Opened a stuck bonnet on the lagoon before starting on the brake pipe replacement job.
All done just before darkness fell only to close the bonnet and have it stuck again! A good job I left the grille off 🤣
