I did absolutely nothing to mine - it's sat at the MoT garage, awaiting the rest of its MoT on Monday. The Green SRS module thingy finally arrived Saturday morning (Good old GPO!), they had time to fit it and check that the airbag light had gone out. Fingers crossed they don't find something else I need to order.

Did a family trip to see some friends, drove 110 miles at 49.5mpg whilst keeping to 65-70mph on the dual carriageways of Devon.
Also refitted my set of contour wheels which have winter tyres. I bought 2 more winter tyres last week to make a full set, along with the 2 I bought during the beast of the east. Also did the same for my van to make a full set, having bought some spare wheels and had 2 fitted during this years snow in January, I've got too much work to do, to be stuck at home because of snow. Having experienced such a huge difference with winter tyres I'll be doing this every year now and swapping my wheels. |

I clay barred the front end and the passenger front door, that was until I ran out of lube. ( I am expecting comments, please don't disappoint me! )
Then I removed the bracket that hold on my socket for the tow bar, gave it a damn good spruce up, repaint and refitted it. I hate rust!

I know most of you guys and gals will think this is sad, but here's a few photos of what I did between rain on Sunday.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/184668...posted-public/ This is what I either wanted to replace or salvage. It looks pretty yukky! It's the bracket that hold the socket for the electrics to the actual tow bar. I had to cut it off as the old small bolts and nuts were beyond a spanner or socket! https://www.flickr.com/photos/184668...posted-public/ You can see the graze marks by my soon to be retired disc cutter. The bearing are shot on the poor thing. It's not that old, but it swallowed some debris from another job I was doing, and now it growels like something from a horror film, and vibrates that bad after just ten mins of use, I wonder if I'm going to get industrial white finger! Anyway, I digress... https://www.flickr.com/photos/184668...posted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/184668...posted-public/ These got cleaned up as well. https://www.flickr.com/photos/184668...posted-public/ Then they had a coat of rust eater. https://www.flickr.com/photos/184668...posted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/184668...posted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/184668...posted-public/ Then primer when they were dry. No photo's of the primer, but it's grey, it's primer, not much more to say. Then, a generous coat of satin black! https://www.flickr.com/photos/184668...posted-public/ They look so much better! They are all back on the car, all ready for the winter to have another go at making them look like the first few pics!!

I fitted my drivers side seat belt pretensioner with warning lamp, bought it over a year ago brand new off ebay for a tenner and its been sat languishing in the drawer ever since.
Another lamp to amuse me |
