You want the trw arms from here £100 the pair and are perfect
I can confirm that after finding that the upper rear arm ball joints from Rimmers had very little grease in them,I checked the ball joints on the front lower arms (TRW) from Autodoc, and found them well greased. I then bought the bushes from DMGRS, so it will be interesting to see which last longest.

Ooops it's the O/S arm I'm after (with the little recess for the Xenon sensor arm clip)
Anyone out there able to help me out?

The lower track control arms will last the longest, the bushes will be the first to fail

I have sprayed them with chain wax, in an attempt to prevent the rubber from drying out!

Under no circumstances would I pay Rimmer prices for "original equipment" Made in PRC, and well you have the road test from Paul as to the other ones

Hi there Brian.

I've just ordered a pair of TRW track control arms.

The advert at Autodoc says WITH ACCESORIES. Does this mean the rubber bush and housing too or do I need to order these separately ??---

Mine arrived as the bare arms, however I had replaced the rear bushes on the wife's car some four or five years previously, so I reused them as they were still perfectly serviceable (Unipart, not Chinese "OEM but lasts for about six months")

The catalogue for the bush and housing only lists the right hand side. Are both sides the same item ?--( identical. )

These darn catalogues.--

An intriguing facet of this (to me anyway), is why does Xpart/Rimmer list a different Part Number for the Rover 75 rear bush and the MG ZT version? It's always been my understanding that different Part Numbers mean different parts. Yet from what I see, most aftermarket sellers offer the same part for the 75 and the ZT. I assumed it may be to provide the different suspension specs (eg the front camber angles, which through some mechanism are different). But, the reasoning I was given on the forum, is that the rubber used for the bushes is different in its stiffness. A bit like the diesel's lower engine mount bush, which is stiffer than the others. Anyone have a view on this?

TC

I read your post on how quick you can do them so I guess you are the expert to ask.

Are the housings with the rubber bushes the same on both sides of the car or are they handed ??

Thanks in advance.----
