As to what I did to my ZT at the weekend, I fitted a red reflector to the removable tow bar cover.
I'm quite pleased with the result. I got lucky and found a reflector the same size as the cover. It looks like it was fitted originally! The second thing I did was fit some "blue chrome" trim on the interior. I've not completed it yet, but basically there is some thin trim available in various colours that you can retro fit into the gaps in your dashboard. Photos will follow. Not everyones cup of tea I would imagine, but it's subtle and happy with the results I've made so far. I'll try and post some pics later. If you dont like it, thats fine. I do understand the purist point of view. I do have a small list of modifications that I may do over the next few months.

My 05 had no undertray and was corroding around the underside of the engine and front subframe. My 99 car has had an undertray on and was as clean as a whistle when I did the oil and filter changes. I fitted some new fixings as some of the old ones were losing the screw fitting grips. It seems to keep the underside in better condition and when up on the ramps is fairly easy to remove and replace. There was some oil on the undertray under the filter, where I suspect that someone previously had changed the filter through the wheel arch as there were no leaks.

Aye, still have it fitted to marmite brian. But about to reactivate primertallic saloon no 1 for winter, after its mot at the weekend. 😁 Ps for anyone who might wonder such things, a diesel undertray WILL fit in the boot of a saloon, (but it’s best to remove the boot rubber seals first, as it could be easy to tear the seal when squeezing the under tray into the boot).🙄 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The first result of fitting the undertray was an "Idea", so after fitting a new offside dipped beam bulb it was off to the garage to fill up.
£72.56 and exactly 55 litres of fuel, off I goes to pay and they were changing shift. I paid at 22.58 to be told the 10p off per litre voucher, was only valid until 10 pm So they offered me another voucher which was valid until 10pm on the eighth of December, I asked if I could redeem it against this purchase......."No" was the reply...........the new voucher was left on the counter along with the old I'll run off this tankful, which should be in about three days and I'll revert to filling up at Costco Brian |

Fitted the mini compensater then washed the carpet with a bold/ zoflora mix as a previous owner had a dog that I’m sure lived in the car 🙄and neither of them could use a Hoover.
It’s smells a lot better now but if this doesn’t fix it then onto a mix of baking soda and lavender oil, or I could just burn the carpet 😂 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
