those aren't expensive, may be I should have got those instead.

Buy them as well, you can never have too many tools!

Thanks all. I will pick up a set of these tonight. My MOT expires today, but my 75 is now off road as I can't get the rear offside caliper off. The top bolt is stuck fast. A bit of heat and one of these will hopefully have it moving.

I managed to get the disk off without removing the caliper (a bit of a shuffle), and the lining off one of the handbrake shoes just fell off!

Nothing like working in the cold/damp/dark of an evening. My new garage is a whisker off completion.

mmmmm I sort of agree with you... I own at least 9 drills.
The thought of having spent the money for a tool (Irwin bolt extractors) that I will consign to the back of the shelf really hurts. I don't mind buying tools for just one job but I need to want to buy it and probably had wanted it for a while. Having spent about £40 for Irwin, replacing them is like a stab in the heart

The Irwyn extractor kit worked a treat. It winkled out that rusty lyg500350 rear caliper bolt with relative ease after successive spannering and plus gas couldn't persuade it.

Tomorrow I will try to pick up 4 new bolts at the local Land Rover spares dept.

Then just the caliper and new pads to go on and the other side to do...

My wife said you can have to many tools. I don’t know what she is on about. I have only got them in the dresser in the lounge, cubby under the stairs, in the bottom of the wardrobe in the rear bedroom, front bedroom wardrobe and the shed. Women do exaggerate don’t they?.
