Default TEB100040L size?

I need to check if I have spare auto box drainplug washer in my stock. Anyone know what size they are so that I can check what I have? I would order a spare one from Rimmers but the P&P is usually so high that I wait until I need a few bits. I have plenty of engine sump plug washers but don't think that they are the same.

I can’t answer the question, but I’ve never replaced the washer for the auto box drain plug, when I’ve changed the fluid.
I wasn’t aware they needed changed.
Does anybody else change this washer?
No harm in having a spare though.

The washers harden when used/crushed, so lose their ability to seal properly in some instances. You may be lucky though!

I think that I could always anneal the old washer, which is what my old dad used to do!

Drain plug washers.

Copper ones, as they age, do harden.

However if they have been compressed between two smooth surfaces will also have two smooth faces.

The only washers I have replaced in over 65 years of tinkering with them is when there is a damaged surface.

All the smooth ones never leaked.---

Exactly! Not all the mating surfaces are smooth!

Then they must have been damaged by ham-handed fitters as they ALL start off smooth on the production line.---

Whilst THIS site doesnt give the internal diameter, at a guess I would say approximately 20mm.
