Did it in my teens, to trim copper square bar down for but welder jaws, when the shaper was kaput.

Did it when I was an apprentice nearly 50 years ago! Time consuming, fiddly and wasteful exercise tbh.

well I was impressed and learnt something. It was not until the guy started doing it, did I cotton on on to how he would achieve a cube.

wish I could have one of those big lathes in my garage.
I've been really pleased with some of the things I'm made at home. I know they are rough but the satisfaction of making something that works is brilliant. macafee2 |
