Firstly, very many thanks to Marinabrian for taking the plunge and testing the silencer, and for a very detailed set of noise results. I'm going to feed this back to the manufacturer, since it looks like there need to be one or two small improvements needed to enhance the fit and finish of the silencer. How many members might be interested in purchasing one of these units? The support straps appear to still be available from Rimmer Brothers, see here: https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001940 Items 11 and 12 are the correct parts and appear to be the same across all engine variants.

I am on the lookout for an exhaust for a diesel 75 tourer. I'm told that as my present exhaust is dual-skin, it may be the original.
But I would prefer something better quality than the majority of boxes that are built down to a price. Any suggestions ? What sort of price should I expect to pay ? Am I right in believing that the tourer has a different backbox to saloons ? Last edited by MarkS; 19th November 2018 at 13:05.. |

Sorry but it won't be quick . The Chinese producer is pretty good at responding, but seafreight times are around 6 weeks on top of agreeing specification etc.
