What's a minibus that belonged to an Edinburgh kindergarden doing there Just checked the phone number on it.

Both side windows smashed, wouldn't hold out much hope for the interior.

Gutting to see such a lovely car like that. Can anyone start a 'Save the 75' charity and find a cheap massive warehouse to put all the MOT failed cars in there for the future!? These will be classic cars.

I'm used to seeing better cars in the scrapyards than the one I'm trying to maintain. Thankfully, so far, I haven't seen a better 75 in a scrapyard. But if ours are to become classics, their numbers need to be reduced. To most people, they are a low value old car becoming a liabilty, so it's not worth paying the car's value in repairs, so they get scrapped. In a few years time, when only enthusiasts have preserved relatively few, they may become worth something, as they are recognised as "rare, classic examples of a bygone age of British motor engineering'. In the meantime, love the one you're with!

How long do timing chains last?

Probably p/x’d on a local dealers diesel scrappage scheme.
